What is a Diocesan Synod?
Canon 460: A diocesan synod is
a group of selected priests and other members of the Christian faithful of a
particular church who offer assistance to the diocesan bishop for the good
of the whole diocesan community according to the norm of the following

been selected by our Pastoral Council and recommended to Bishop Calvo to
participate in the Diocesan Synod on December 3, 4, 5. We are grateful for
these dedicated folks who will be attending catechetical sessions in
preparation for the Synod.

All parishioners were asked to select their top three priorities from the
list of 12. Your top three priorities are:
FAMILY: Encourage faith in the home with an emphasis on family life within
the Catholic community. (5,345)
YOUTH: Support programs and activities to engage youth in the life of the
EDUCATION: provide lifelong Catholic education, including families, youth
and adults, that is accessible to all. (4,758)
