Eucharistic Adoration is the act of worshiping God as He is present in the consecrated Eucharist.  Since the Last Supper, when Jesus broke the bread and distributed the wind, saying, “This is my Body” and “This is my Blood,” Catholics have believed that the bread and wine are no longer merely baked wheat and fermented grape juice, but the actual living presence of the Second Person of the Trinity.  Spending time before the Blessed Sacrament, in prayer and devotion, is exactly the same as spending time before the living God.  Adoration occurs whenever someone kneels in front of a tabernacle that contains the Blessed Sacrament, genuflects toward a tabernacle, or in a more focused way, when the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration or personal prayer after being placed in the sacred vessel called a Monstrance.  Being in the presence of the Lord is like visiting one’s best friend to share, listen, and love.

“Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed  Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments,  the one  dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.”

-St. Alphonsus Liguori

Adoration is every Tuesday from 5:00 -9:00 pm

Adoration on the first Tuesday of the month has a rosary and music hosted by the Hispanic Ministry

Please come and sit with Our Lord.  Share with Him your gratefulness, needs, pain, disappointments, sorrow, joy, sadness, hurt, hope, and love.  Spiritually journey with Him with your heart and soul.  The quiet of Our Lord’s house, allowing you to rest in His peace, will comfort you, and strengthen you.  Find the time, make the effort, and come sit with Our Lord.
